Critic Circle Update: Because I Got Slack, And That.

San Francisco, Satellite Awards, Chicago, St. Louis, Indiana, Toronto, Florida, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Austin, Black Film Critics, Utah, Dublin, Women Films Circle – I feel I may have neglected you slightly.

With thirteen different lists of winners to report back on, well, I’ll keep it brief, but a list of Best Picture, Director, all four Acting winners, Best Screenplays, Cinematography, Documentary, Animation and Foreign Film can be found below.

But last week’s number five, Gambit, drops out completely which can’t spell good news for Michael Hoffman.

Skyfall reclaims the number one spot from those pesky vampires, but eOne can hardly complain after what the last installment has raked in. And yep, Nativity 2: Danger In The Manger is still clinging on for dear life.

It’s alliteration a gogo for the announcement of the 40th Annual Annie Awards.

Brave, Wreck-It Ralph and Rise Of The Guardians lead the nominations, with Hotel Transylvania and ParaNorman not too far behind. It’s a strong set of nominations for Disney, with John Carter and The Avengers also lurking on the sidelines.

As for who to put your money on in regards to the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, well, I think it’s pretty safe to say it’s a two-horse race between Brave and Wreck-It Ralph.

Check out the full list of nominations (minus anything TV-related) below: Continue reading
