2011 Detroit Film Critics Society Award Nominations

Best Director nods for both Drive and Take Shelter? This is my kind of Society!! It’s all pretty straight forward, but Detroit obviously love Gosling as they’ve given him recognition in the Best Supporting category for Crazy, Stupid, Love, bizarrely. It’s also interesting how it’s Felicity Jones and not Elizabeth Olsen who is included in both Best Breakthrough and Best Actress, but I’m expecting the love for Olsen to grow come January. 2011 Boston Society Of Film Critics Award Winners

Last year the Boston Society of Film Critics gave Juliette Lewis the Best Supporting Actress prize for Conviction. It’s nice to see they’ve kept their originality in a few categories this year. But check out the love for Margaret! Unfortunately there was only one screening of the film and lots of the voters missed out on it. Hopefully this will change come January?

2011 National Board Of Review Winners

The National Board Of Review has just announced its 2011 winners that are to be honoured in a ceremony on January 10th.

Take note, doubters – they picked Hugo as their Film Of The Year. I don’t think this Race is set in stone just yet.
