2012 San Diego Film Critics Society Winners

Screen Shot 2012-12-12 at 23.10.15

San Diego hand their top honours over to Mr. Ben Affleck, with the majority of their remaining winners slighty off centre, too.

Daniel Day-Lewis may have won yet another prize for his title role in Lincoln, but Best Actress and Supporting Actress are a nice talking point here, especially when the two ladies in question are far from expected to receive an Oscar nomination. But it sure does make a welcome change to think outside the box.

Stay classy, San Diego.

2012 St. Louis Gateway Film Critics Association Nominations

screen-shot-2011-12-12-at-21-20-57

St. Louis loves a bit of Tarantino!

There’s a little bit more breathing space away from the usual suspects in this batch of nominations, with Moonrise Kingdom getting a lot of very deserved nods and a few more interesting people popping up in the Acting categories, including Aubrey Plaza, Jamie Foxx, John Goodman, William H. Macy and Emma Watson.

There’s also the inclusion of Best Arthouse or Festival Film and Best Scene, but as for Best Comedy, Ted can definitely bore off.

2012 Saturn Awards – Nominees

If the presence of Limitless, Thor and The Lincoln Lawyer doesn’t get you interested then there’s something wrong with you and check out that Best Supporting Actor category! However, I must warn you that Hugo has a vast dollop of nominations, but it’s alright when there’s so much love for Tintin and a nom for Attack The Block.
