Barely any of the BFCC’s winners think too outside of the box, surprisingly, but this obviously has a lot to do with The Help already being an Oscar frontrunner. There’s a lot of love for Pariah and Attack The Block, with Albert Brooks once again rewarded for Drive and Warrior included in another Top Ten of the year. 2011 St. Louis Gateway Film Critics Association Award Winners

It’s really great to see Drive still firmly in people’s minds, even if only on the periphery in anything other than Best Supporting Actor. The winners here aren’t anything out of the ordinary, but it’s interesting to see Mara rewarded for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and it really does make me think she could have eclipsed Noomi’s Lisbeth. 2011 St. Louis Gateway Film Critics Association Award Nominations

Next, it’s St. Louis’ turn to have their moment in the limelight. Notice the additions of My Week With Marilyn as a Best Film contender, David Fincher for Best Director and love for Rooney Mara and Saoirse Ronan.
