So What Do I Actually Own?

Ok, I confess, this isn’t actually my DVD collection. But I definitely aspire to this.

For the massive film geek that I am, my personal collection is rather humble.

But regardless of this I thought I’d share it with you, update it when it’s added to (plus it helps me realise who I’ve loaned certain films out to….!) and be told off for the missing necessities.

Note that I have left out any TV series or music-related DVDs.

Top of the list: 13 going on 30 – you have to love this and Jennifer Garner!

A VERY eclectic collection there 🙂

Nah keep the chick flicks…always need a chick flick.

No ‘Empire of the Sun’ though? Did you not want any films beginning with ‘E’ lol

Lol I wasnt too sure on what ‘flesh out’ meant!!! Whoops. My favourites are Arthur and Overboard, border line chick flicks but great all the same. Which ones would you ‘flesh out’ with?

You have NEVER seen Empire of the Sun…shame on you. Awesome film. And another great film is ‘The boy in the Striped Pyjamas’, a war time movie again.

    • That’s on iPlayer at the moment, so will watch that this week for sure. I’ve not even seen Arthur, original or remake! I don’t know what I’d get, probably more 80s films like Sixteen Candles, etc, as I love The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller, even though I know they’re not exactly your typical chick flicks, they’re still so feel good.

Oh my word, you havent seen Empire of the Sun OR Arthur (Original)…Arthur is my all time favourite film. You just cant beat it…Dudley Moore, Sir John Gielgud are sensational and even Liza Minelli is great. An all time best comedy that will keep you laughing for years. But thats just my opinion…one of the reasons I wasnt too happy about the remake.

Let me know what you think of The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas…

I am not a lover of Ferris Buellers Day Off but I do like The Breakfast Club, I dont think I have ever seen Sixteen Candles.

    • Right. Let’s sort this out. I’m going to watch Arthur tonight. It’s apocalyptic outside in this torrential rain, so need something lovely that will make me laugh. Good shout Sarah! Will let you know what I think later.

    Any verdict on the film?

    S x

    • I ended up watching Steve McQueen’s 2008 film, Hunger, with Michael Fassbender. Definitely not a comedy…! I promise it will be done this/next week. And I will let you know my opinion!

Ha ha ha I shall sit on my hands until you have watched it and get back to me :o)
